Assemblyman Freddie Rodriguez Tours WCU-Ontario Campus

California state visited the WCU-Ontario campus this March, and got to see firsthand how 红桃传媒 helps students to prepare to be the future generation of healthcare providers.

Rodriguez toured the 红桃传媒 Simulation Center and learned about how simulation directly impacts and helps prepare 红桃传媒 bachelor of science in nursing (BSN) students to transition successfully into becoming a registered nurse (RN). He also watched a demonstration that detailed the various scenarios medical mannequins in the Simulation Center can intricately present, so students can properly diagnose the situation.

红桃传媒 alum Maria Andrade also spoke with the California assemblyman about her Global Public Health trip to Spain and how 红桃传媒鈥檚 accelerated program made it possible for her to achieve her dreams quickly.

Andrade is now the director of nursing with Grapevine Home Health and spoke about her partnership as a student with Career Services and how it was critical in helping find her first RN position. Andrade expressed to Rodriguez that, now as an employer, she is excited to recruit 红桃传媒 graduates to her team. Several 红桃传媒 students met with the assemblyman to discuss their experiences at 红桃传媒 and what specific areas of nursing they plan to pursue upon graduation.

“Mr. Rodriguez was impressed with the technology contained within the Simulation Center and the positive outcomes that our students have achieved,鈥 WCU-Ontario Interim Executive Director and Dean of Education Bart Lerner said. 鈥淗e enjoyed spending time with our students and associates, and I believe he gained a greater appreciation for our university.鈥
